Domain Name Purchase Terms — BeCompany

Version 1.1 · Effective: 2 November 2026

1. Parties and scope. 1.1. These terms apply when a domain name (the "Domain") is bought from Be Company Ltd, company no. 517368551, 5 Avraham Hillel St., Ramla, Israel ("BeCompany"). 1.2. The "Customer" is one of two:

  • a business that uses the platform and registers the Domain in its own name;
  • a private individual who registers the Domain in their own name, for example for a personal site or portfolio.

1.3. A "consumer" is a Customer who buys the Domain mainly for personal, household or family use, as defined in the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981. An individual who buys a Domain for their trade, as a business, is not a consumer for this purpose. 1.4. At purchase you will be asked whether the purchase is for business or personal use. 1.5. These terms supplement BeCompany's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Where they conflict on a domain matter, these terms prevail. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow to be waived.

2. What we do. 2.1. BeCompany registers the Domain in the Customer's name with an ICANN-accredited registrar. The registrar is the accredited registrar chosen for the extension, whose name is shown to you before you confirm the purchase, and on the Domain page. 2.2. A business is registered as an organisation. A private individual is registered as a person. 2.3. BeCompany acts as a reseller and as the Customer's agent towards the registrar. It is not the registrar. 2.4. A private individual must be at least 18 to register a Domain in their own name.

3. Rights in the Domain. 3.1. The Customer is the registered holder, and all rights in the Domain, as granted under ICANN and registry rules, belong to the Customer. 3.2. BeCompany holds technical control of the account through which the Domain is registered only to provide the service. It has no lien or security interest in the Domain. It will not transfer or abandon the Domain without the Customer's instruction, except under a court order, a UDRP decision, or ICANN or registry rules. 3.3. For a business, instructions about the Domain may be given only by a user with the "owner" role. For an individual, only by the account holder.

4. Price and payment. 4.1. Price = the registrar's registration cost, plus a fixed service fee of ILS [10], plus VAT as required by law. The total price in ILS, including VAT, is shown before payment. 4.2. The registrar's cost is in US dollars and is converted to ILS at the exchange rate in BeCompany's system on the day of the quote. The price you confirm is the price you are charged. If the price changes between quote and payment, we show the new price and ask you to confirm again. We never charge an amount you did not confirm. 4.3. "Premium" domains and renewal prices may differ from the registration price. The known renewal price is shown before purchase. 4.4. Payment is by saved card or from the wallet balance. A document with the transaction details is sent at payment. A tax invoice/receipt is issued when registration completes. 4.5. If registration fails, or someone else takes the name before the registration date, the amount is refunded in full.

5. Registration date. 5.1. Business purchase: the Domain is registered right after payment. 5.2. Consumer purchase: the Domain is registered on the 15th day after the day of the transaction, or after the day the transaction details document was sent to you, whichever is later (the "registration date"). The date is shown before payment and in the transaction details document. 5.3. Until the registration date the name is not reserved for you. If someone else registers it first, we refund the full price with no cancellation fee. 5.4. If you buy for business purposes, even as an individual, you may choose immediate registration, provided you declare the purchase is for your trade.

6. Renewal. 6.1. The Domain is registered for the period you chose (1 to 10 years). It does not renew at your cost without your approval, as set out in this section. 6.2. Renewal notice: 60 days before expiry, we notify you on the platform and by email. The notice states the expiry date, the renewal price in ILS including VAT, and how to approve or cancel. We send another reminder before the charge date. 6.3. Approving renewal:

  • Business Customer: at purchase you may choose "renew yearly from the saved payment method". While that choice stands, we charge the renewal price 45 days before expiry.
  • Consumer: we renew only if you approve renewal after receiving the renewal notice, and no later than 52 days before expiry. The charge is made on approval. If you cancel the renewal within 14 days of approving it, and at least 38 days before expiry, the Domain is not renewed and you are refunded under section 7.3.
  • You can cancel renewal at any time up to the charge date, in the Domain settings.

6.4. If the charge fails or renewal is not approved:

  • we notify you and retry for 7 days;
  • if payment has not completed by 38 days before expiry, auto-renew at the registrar is turned off at 37 days before expiry, and the Domain expires at the end of its term;
  • after expiry, for as long as the registry allows (for example .com: up to 44 days), you can still renew by paying. Any registry restoration fee is passed on at cost;
  • after that the Domain is deleted and may be registered by others. BeCompany will not register a lapsed Domain for itself.

6.5. The renewal price is set from the registrar's renewal cost and the exchange rate on the notice date, plus the service fee and VAT. If the price rises after the notice, we tell you and ask for approval again.

7. Cancellation and refunds. 7.1. Before registration: any Customer may cancel as long as the registration has not yet been made with the registrar. 7.2. Business Customer: a completed registration or renewal cannot be cancelled and is not refundable. The registrar charges BeCompany the full amount at registration and does not refund it, even if the Domain is deleted early. 7.3. Consumer:

  • A consumer may cancel within 14 days of the transaction, or of receiving the transaction details document, whichever is later (section 14C(c) of the Consumer Protection Law).
  • Because registration happens only on the registration date (section 5.2), a cancellation in this period is made before the Domain is registered.
  • We refund the price within 14 days of receiving the cancellation notice, less a cancellation fee of 5% of the price or ILS 100, whichever is lower.

7.4. Person with a disability, senior citizen or new immigrant: where the transaction included a conversation with BeCompany, including an electronic conversation, they may cancel within four months, on the terms of section 14C1 of the Law. A cancellation after the registration date is refunded less:

  • the proportional consideration for the service provided until cancellation (section 14E(b1) of the Law);
  • the cancellation fee in section 7.3.

The Domain is deleted at the registrar, or transferred at their choice. 7.5. Defect, non-conformity or breach by BeCompany: full refund, no cancellation fee (section 14E(a) of the Law). 7.6. How to cancel: on the platform (Domain page), by email to support@becompany.net, or in writing to BeCompany's address. 7.7. Refunds of renewals: as in 7.2 to 7.5, with the necessary changes.

8. Transfer to another registrar. 8.1. The Customer may ask at any time to transfer the Domain to another registrar or to its own AWS account. BeCompany will remove the transfer lock and provide the transfer (auth) code within 5 calendar days of the request, usually at once. BeCompany charges no transfer-out fee. The new registrar may charge its own fee. 8.2. We will not refuse the transfer code because of an unpaid balance owed by the Customer. Any debt is collected separately. 8.3. Transfers are subject to ICANN, registry and registrar restrictions. For example, there is no transfer in the first period after registration (currently 14 days at AWS), during a UDRP proceeding, or under a court order. 8.4. The transfer is confirmed by an email to the registered contact. Once it completes, BeCompany is no longer responsible for the Domain, and the paid remaining term moves to the new registrar as it allows.

9. Ending the relationship with BeCompany. If the Customer closes its account, or BeCompany stops offering domain services:

  • the Domain remains the Customer's;
  • BeCompany gives advance notice and allows transfer under section 8 for at least [60] days or until the end of the registration term, whichever is later;
  • the Domain is not deleted before the paid term ends;
  • if it is not transferred, auto-renew is turned off and the Domain expires at the end of the term. No refund is given for the remaining term unless the law requires otherwise.

10. The Customer's obligations as registered holder (under ICANN's Registrar Accreditation Agreement): 10.1. Provide accurate, complete and current contact details, and update them on the platform within 7 days of any change. 10.2. Answer a registrar enquiry about the accuracy of the details within 15 days. Wilfully giving false details, or not answering, is a material breach and may lead to suspension or cancellation of the Domain. 10.3. Keep the contact email inbox working. The registrar's verification, renewal and transfer emails go there. 10.4. Represent that, to the best of its knowledge, registering and using the Domain does not infringe anyone's rights. Accept the UDRP and ICANN and registry rules, including suspension, cancellation or transfer under them. 10.5. If the Customer lets another party use the Domain, it remains the registered holder and is responsible for that use. 10.6. If the contact details belong to another person, give that person notice and obtain their consent to the details being passed to the registrar. 10.7. The Customer accepts:

  • the AWS Domain Name Registration Agreement ([aws.amazon.com/route53/domain-registration-agreement](https://aws.amazon.com/route53/domain-registration-agreement/));
  • the registrar's terms;
  • [ICANN's Registrants' Benefits and Responsibilities](https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/benefits-2013-09-16-en). Information for registrants: [icann.org/registrants](https://www.icann.org/registrants).

10.8. The Customer submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of its domicile or residence and of the registrar's location for disputes about the use of the Domain, without excluding any other jurisdiction.

11. Prohibited use and suspension. 11.1. The Domain may not be used for unlawful activity, fraud, phishing, malware, spam or infringement. 11.2. On a substantiated complaint, a registrar or registry demand, or a reasonable suspicion of such use, BeCompany may act on the registrar's instructions, including by suspending the Domain. It will notify the Customer where the law allows. 11.3. The Customer will indemnify BeCompany, the registrar and the registry for any loss or reasonable expense, including legal fees, caused by use of the Domain in breach of these terms or the law.

12. Limitation of liability. 12.1. Registration, availability and operation of the Domain depend on the registrar, the registry, ICANN and AWS infrastructure, which BeCompany does not control. BeCompany does not promise that a given domain will be available, that a registration will be accepted, or that the service will run without interruption. 12.2. Subject to law, BeCompany's total liability in connection with a Domain is limited to the amount the Customer paid for that Domain in the 12 months before the event. BeCompany is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, goodwill or traffic. 12.3. This limit does not apply to loss caused by BeCompany's wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and does not reduce consumer rights that cannot be waived.

13. Privacy and publication. 13.1. The contact details are passed to AWS, the registrar, the registry and the privacy service as described in section 7A of the Privacy Policy, on the basis of your consent at purchase. 13.2. For extensions whose registry does not allow hiding the details, they are published. For an individual this may include their name, address, phone and email. We show a warning and ask for your consent before purchase.

14. Unavailable extensions. .il domains (including .co.il and .org.il) are registered only through a registrar accredited by the Israel Internet Association, and cannot be bought through BeCompany.

15. Changes. A change to these terms does not apply to a registration period already paid for. We give notice of any material change to renewal before the renewal notice.

16. Law and venue. These terms are governed by Israeli law, and jurisdiction lies with the competent courts in Ramla, subject to section 10.8. This does not deny a consumer the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of their residence, or the right to sue in the forum that law gives them.
